WEBMD MOBILE & WEB APP

End-to-End Product Design

Challenge and Solution: The redesign of Daily Habits, a SaaS web and native mobile app aimed at helping users achieve well-being goals, involved two key phases: MVP (Minimum Viable Product) delivery and post-launch optimization. The core challenge during the MVP phase was delivering the product under tight constraints, including a shortened timeline and overlapping development and design processes.

To meet this challenge, I introduced a parallel design-development approach that led to a 160% faster delivery compared to similar projects, resulting in contracts with major clients like Cigna, Adventist Health, and Kohler. Despite the reduced time for user testing and iteration, I identified the need for a post-MVP discovery phase to address gaps caused by the condensed schedule. This allowed for further refinement of the design system and brought consistency across the app.

The optimization phase focused on simplifying the user experience, guided by extensive user testing. By introducing remote qualitative and quantitative testing methods and leveraging live software testing with unique logins, we created a more intuitive and user-friendly design. This resulted in a 136% increase in engagement year-over-year and a 71% recommendation rate from users, demonstrating the effectiveness of the new “Guided Experience” design strategy.
